Belize Radar Project

YEC prepared architectural and engineering plans, specifications, estimates and schedules for the works associated with a new Radar System at Belize’s International Airport. YEC also provided full construction supervision services for the project. Works included a paved access road, standby generator building, radar tower foundation, electrical supply and grounding systems, and a control centre building on the second floor of the Airport Terminal Building.

San Antonio Farm Roads Upgrades

Caribbean Development Bank / Basic Needs Trust Fund

In order to improve the lives and productivity of farmers in Cayo district of Belize, the Caribbean Development Bank and the Basic Needs Trust Fund are seeking to upgrade 6 miles of trails and rudimentary farm roads. YEC prepared detailed engineering plans and specifications including horizontal and vertical alignment, drainage, and cross section designs. YEC managed the contractor selection process and is currently supervising the works.

Cattle Landing Site Feasibility Study

Outpost International

YEC performed a full Site Feasibility Study for a 250 acre site on the Southern Coast of Belize in order to assess its suitability for a large Marina Development Project. Services include topographical and soil studies, preliminary coastal studies and order of magnitude estimates for various concepts.

Gas Turbine Generator Site

Belize Electricity Limited

As a part of its project to install a 25 Megawatt Gas Turbine Generator near Belize City, the Belize Electricity Limited retained Young's Engineering Consultancy Limited to provide Civil Engineering services. Services included preparation of plans and specifications for a paved access road and interior turn-around road, site grading and drainage, and a reinforced concrete tank farm. YEC also provided supervision of all works including construction of an elevated platform structure on a piled foundation to carry the generator and turbine.
